Seattle Arts Stadium

Seattle Arts Stadium humor

Seattle arts scene

I live in the suburbs of Seattle for a while, but I was too young at the time to really get into and appreciate the Seattle arts scene. I would like to go back and visit for a while, to spend more time in Seattle proper, enjoy more of the Seattle arts, crafts, food, sights, and the Seattle experience in general. This could just be an over-idealized dream of mine, though, since I have spent very little time touring in general, and I'm not entirely certain if I am cut out for the life of a Seattle arts tourist.

So then the question is how would I go tour the Seattle arts (assuming I went there to visit and didn't end up living there, which is still a distinct possibility). Well, as I have said over and over again, I would ideally like to stay in some place small, person, with character, like a family owned inn or bed and breakfast or a small rented house or something. If it came down to cost, though, I would just stay in a cheap hotel room but spend very little of my day there (or perhaps temporarily decorate the room with my Seattle arts expedition finds).

Seattle arts and eats

Of course food is always a big part of travel. Whether you choose to eat only at McDonald's the whole time, or you go all out on five-star four-course meals, food will always factor into your plans and ultimately into your enjoyment of your Seattle arts trip (have you ever enjoyed a trip when the food was horrible and you felt horrible the whole time as a result? I didn't think so). I like to visit the smaller establishments, preferably those owned by individuals, not a chain or a franchise. When I do visit a franchise or chain, I prefer that it is one specific to the area, and therefore one that will serve regional dishes (not fast food or Olive Garden and Applebee's type fare).

But I have to say, still the best part for me is the awesome, awesome amazing weather. It makes everything better, in my opinion. When it's summer, it only gets hot and humid for a couple weeks out of the whole year. When it's winter, it only snows every few years, and then hardly at all. Instead you get temperate, moderate weather, and lots of clouds and misty rains. A lot of people find this kind of weather depressing. I find it cozy, soft and soothing, gentle, cleansing, a deep spiritual kind of weather. Call me crazy, but I do. And I think it makes everything, even Seattle arts, better.
